Backflow Prevention & TMW Testing

Backflow water may contain contaminates that can be quite harmful for one’s health therefore, it is essential to ensure that a qualified professional is preventing backflow. It is a requirement that only licensed plumbers with “backflow prevention accreditation” which is issued by a registered training organisation can inspect, commission and test medium and high hazard backflow devices.

It is important that only backflow plumbers test and maintain
backflow and submit the test reports to Sydney Water (or equivalent).

At OJ’s, we have the appropriate accreditation to conduct Backflow Prevention and TMV Testing. A licensed plumber should further ensure that TMV testing is conducted in your home or business to ensure that the flow of the water supply and water temperature is measured and maintained accordingly.

TMV testing is typically conducted every 12 months at a minimum however, this may vary.
